Abstract.
The topical issue today is what a foreign language lesson in modern conditions must be. The 
goals and content of education are changing, new means and technologies of education are emerging, but 
no matter what reforms are carried out, lesson remains the eternal and main form of education. Whatever 
innovations are introduced, participants in the educational process meet only in the classroom: teacher and 
student.

The ability to use information technology and modern teaching methods helps to quickly absorb new 
material. By combining different methods, the teacher will be able to create specific curricula. In this regard, 
teachers and students should get acquainted with modern methods of teaching foreign languages. As time 
goes on, there is more and more innovation in every field, so there are many different styles of language 
teaching. The main task of any teacher is to develop the ability to creatively plan and conduct any lessons 
on any material, in any new conditions. Each teacher should strive to make his lessons even more modern, 
interesting, emotional and effective.
Today new ways to learn and teach a foreign language increasingly emerge. Among them are intensive 
courses, game-based learning platforms and even games. Online platforms for learning English which 
include learning games are very popular with children and adults. Learning English online with short games 
is a great opportunity to learn the basic rules of grammar, as well as replenish one’s vocabulary needed for 
study, work or travel. That is why, in order to attract the attention of children to learning a foreign language, 
we need to come up with different games, tasks, handouts related to their favorite subject or occupation.
Games and platforms that will be discussed today help students master English grammar, replenish 
their vocabulary and learn how to use words in the right context.

achieve results faster, and downloadable games make this process even more convenient, because you can 
play them anywhere. Game is a fantastic chance to immerse yourself in a language. It is exciting to playand 
even more exciting to win, which is a great motivation for students. Playing sometimes requires more 
concentration than reading or listening. At the same time, you may think that language games are much 
easier than other methods of learning English - and that's because the game is addictive!
