Most students face up to major problem is incorrect pronunciation in language learning. That's why,
more and more researches have been carried out until now. The problems of teaching pronunciation have
not been overcome by some teachers. Pandya Disha says that pronunciation plays an important role in
English speaking to express our ideas [1. P.16]. Mohammad Saber's and Abolfazl Maleki's researches found
that pronunciation has an effect on listening comprehension of EFL learners [2. P.1254 ]. There is a bit
misunderstanding between above mentioned theories. Generalizing of the two would be the most proper
scientific view because it is an actual fact that pronunciation is important for both of them.
What is pronunciation? Pronunciation is the acquisition that it means the way words are spoken. All learners can not acquire it
very well owing to some below stated issues.
1. Paradox
2. The usage of native language accent
3. Bad phonetic ability
4. Ignorance of pronunciation errors in lesson plan
5. Methods and quality of teaching
Gerald Kelly states that pronunciation tends to suffer from neglect may not be due to teachers lacking
interest in the subject but rather to a feeling of doubt as to how to teach it [3, P.3]. The reason for this,
different teaching resources have various information about proper pronunciation. That's why, it seems
more intricate how to teach correct pronunciation for teachers in order to encourage their students to
pronounce correctly. To solve this problem, teachers should compare reference books about phonology and
pronunciation in order to point out which one is suitable and reliable to teach pronunciation adequately.
A.P.Gilakjani consider that the mispronunciation of words by nonnative speakers reflect the influence
of the sounds, rules, stress and intonation in their native language [4, P. 78]. Some students can not get rid
of their mother tongue influence on second language acquisition. But making a lot of practices reduces the
influence of the mother tongue.
Phonetic ability refers to how they can hear sounds and analyze them. If learners have problems
connected with it, they may have difficulties in hearing well. Anis Komariah considers that they have to
practise their ears with the following statement.
''The need for training the ear to observe and analyze will be clearly perceived when it is realized that
accurate imitation is impossible so long as accurate hearing is not achieved " [5, P.3].
This seems more intricate than others because of its relation to human body organs, especially ears.
But there is a way to prevent this issue. It is a way of listening words with music in headphones with great
attention. In this case, the human mind try to do its best to listen the word in spite of loud music.
Nurul Husna states that having errors corrected sometimes can irritate students, and such corrections
may reduce their keenness on communicating with other students or teachers. But the researcher continued
his speech that if teachers do not correct students' errors, their accuracy would not improve [6, P.3]. Based on
