In the VI-VII centuries AD, the lands of Qalajik and its surrounding lands 
began to be redeveloped. According to the information of this period, in the middle 
of the northern walls the Kushk (Pavilion) -Palace is built, and it is surrounded by 
mud walls. The size of the pavilion is 15x20 m.

used in the construction of this building. These bricks were 36x38 cm in size and 9-
11 cm thick. In the western part of the pavilion there were two rooms, one 6x10 m. 
ni, the other 8x12 m. which was. During this period there was life only in the Palace 
part of Qalajik. 
According to Ya.Gulamov,

in the IX-XI centuries the area around Qalajik 
flourihed and agriculture developed. On top of the old wall of the Qalajiq fortress, a 
new fort of straw is built to protect it from the external enemy. During this period, 
the total height of the castle wall was 12-17 m, and the thickness was 5-7 m. During 
this period, the interior of Kalajik was uninhabited, and it was used only to protect 
the enemy from the outside.
Summing up the history of the castle, life here took place in 4 stages. 
Stage 1 IV century BC and IV century MS 
Stage 2 VI-VIII centuries BC 
Stage 3 IX- XIII centuries 
Stage 4 XVI-XIX centuries 
Historians Munis and Agahi wrote that the last time the Mangits, who revolted in 
1787, during the reign of Muhammad Amin, was relocated around Qalajik fortress, 
and that is why the lake was called Nukuskol. However, even in the 1930s and 1940s, 
a small population lived here.
