In the Kazakh linguistics, the works dedicated to the study of intercultural 
communication, the relationship between language and culture, national mentality, were 
published at the end of the last century. Scientific conferences at different levels are regularly 
held on topics related to these problems. 
In our opinion, the tasks of Kazakh linguistics as a subject of intercultural 
communication will be: 
- Analysis of national cultural stereotypes in intercultural communication; 
- Comprehensive analysis of the linguistic features of expressing the mental character of 
cultural vocabulary and phraseological discourse of the Kazakh language in intercultural 
communication; 
- Describe the nature of the mental and linguistic peculiarities of representing national culture 
in translation, as translation is particularly important to the perception of the culture of the 
other country; 
- Comprehensive study of the means of expressing national culture in the Kazakh language 
in the context of cross-cultural communication; 
- to identify ways to improve methods of intercultural communication in teaching cultural-
phonological vocabulary and phraseology of the Kazakh language in a foreign language 
classroom.
