INTRODUCTION
It is an obvious fact that learning foreign languages is one of the most essential requirements of developing country in
different fields such as science, economy, culture and so on. If we are able to speak several international languages, we can
open the doors into the world with several keys for further development.
Furthermore, the actions taken by the second President of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev is equally
effective to continue the
development of foreign language learning as it is mentioned in this point “For the purpose that our young people could
judge independently, become mature as undefeatable specialists in any field on a worldwide scale by having high
intellectual and moral capability, become happy and contented we employ all the power and opportunities
of our country
and society”
In this modern world communication has become the heart and soul of the human life. The process of communicating
deals with speaking, listening, reading and writing. During communicating in mother tongue nobody really learns
grammar.
We don't study grammar of our own mother tongue to use it for daily speaking, but when we need to polish our own
mother tongue or we want to
learn a foreign language, we have to study its grammar and we usually do that. When we learn a new language like
English, firstly,
we need to study its grammar; the importance of grammar cannot be ignored and before we do that
we need to understand what grammar is.
The Word Grammar means different things to different people.
To ordinary people, it means to correctness or
incorrectness of the language that they speak. To a student, it means a terminological and analytical study of sentences.
Knowing grammar helps the student to correct his mistakes and improve the quality of written work. A person can’t
learn
a foreign language accurately without grammar. So grammar is very important for the student. In this paper my aim is
to bring the attention of the language teacher as well as the learner about the real importance and types of classroom
activities in teaching grammar English language.
Topicality of the research is set by 1) to explain what is grammar and show its importance; 2) the necessity to develop
successful grammar activities for improving the quality
of grammar teaching process; 3) the need to improve the quality of
learning and teaching through different methods and activities.
Goal and tasks of the research: to display some importance of grammar and present some useful activities to learn.
Object and subject of the research: the process and types of activities for teaching grammar to language students.
Methods of the research: socio-pedagogical, comparative, pedagogical experiment, statistical.
The degree of novelty of the research: 1) the theory of grammar and its structural
components were summarized; 2)
modern methods and activities in teaching grammar has been revealed;
Practical value and degree of embed: the material of research can be useful in developing lectures on ET Methodology and
in the practice of teaching grammar, as well as in writing research works.
The results obtained: 1) the nature and peculiarities of teaching grammar were defined; 2) ways
and conditions of learning
and teaching grammar were outlined; 3) the activities were selected and some methods have been included;
The structure of the paper: consists of introduction, two chapters,
conclusion, list of used literature.
