Major financial partners include the European
Union (specifically in relation to financing the
Enhancement of Living Standards Programme,
the Border Management Programme in Central
Asia, and the Central Asia Drug Action
Programme), the Global Environment Facility,
The World Bank (through government cost-
sharing in the Water Supply Sanitation and
Health projects), and the Global Fund to fight
Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria (where the
UNDP role is purely fiduciary management).
