Check guarantee service

Check verification service
Process of matching check writers with databases of acceptable
and unacceptable accounts to minimize the acceptance of bad checks.
City ledger
Set of accounts used to record charges to and payments from a hotel’s nonreg-
istered guests. Examples include persons not staying in the hotel who purchase the hotel’s
meeting space, food, or beverages.
