Flexor carpi ulnaris (musculus flexor carpi ulnaris)
– a muscle of the 1st layer
O: humerus – medial epicondyle and antebrachial fascia
I: palmar aponeurosis,
flexor retinaculum
F: an accessory flexor of the forearm and hand,
stretches the palmar aponeurosis
N: median nerve (C8, variably C7–T1)
– a muscle of the 1st layer
Origin:
•
1 Humeral head (caput humerale):
humerus – medial epicondyle
•
2 Ulnar head (caput ulnare): ulna – coronoid process
I: radius – pronator tuberosity
F: flexion and pronation of the forearm
N: median nerve (C6–C7)
– a muscle of the 1st layer
O: humerus – medial epicondyle and antebrachial fascia
I: base of the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal (anterior surface)
F: flexion of the forearm,
radial duction and flexion of the hand
N: median nerve (C6–C7)
