INTRODUCTION (abstract of the PhD dissertation) 
The aim of the research is to reveal the linguistic features (similarities and 
differences) of the financial and economic terminology used in the sphere of treasury 
in the English, Uzbek and Russian languages, and to define the ways of terminology 
formation. 
The tasks of the research are: 
substantiating the linguistic features of such notions as the term, terminology, 
term system and term sphere on the basis of systematization of the main theoretical 
provisions of terminology in modern linguistics; 
identifying financial and economic terms used in the sphere of treasury in the 
English, Uzbek and Russian languages, and revealing their characteristic features; 
analysing the historical processes of the emergence and development of the 
treasury as a financial body of the state in English-speaking countries, Uzbekistan 
and Russia, and their influence on the use of treasury terms; 
explaining the role of interterms in the formation of the system of treasury 
terms in the languages under study, and the conditions of their appearance and 
application; 
identifying priority derivational (affixal, morphemic-morphological, lexical-
semantic, syntactic) models of financial and economic terms used in the sphere of 
treasury in the English, Uzbek and Russian languages, studying comparative their 
specific characteristics; 
classifying the treasury terms used in the English, Uzbek and Russian 
languages.
