EDUCATION IN TOURISM, MODULAR TRAINING IN THE TEACHING 
OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES 
 
More recently he appeared in Uzbekistan in the higher education system, the 
new technology education -MODULAR training. In European countries, it appeared 
at the end of the Second World War, when it became necessary to rapid learning 
professional skills, but this term has not yet been adapted to the education and 
vocational training.

The term "module" comes from the Latin word modulus - "measure" and is 
widely used both in pedagogy and in a number of other sciences. 
The module as the training program is personalized in content, methods and 
techniques of training, level of independence, the pace of the cognitive activity of the 
student, and thanks to this modular training is significantly different from other 
systems of training in the methodology of teaching foreign languages. The essence of 
this method lies in the fact that the student himself must examine the selected part of 
the course on individually developed scheme. 
The main provisions of the student-centered approach to the practice of 
teaching foreign languages is dominant role of independent work of the student, in 
which he is an active subject of learning activity and where he supervises the learning 
process and to monitor the results of mastering a foreign language. By using modular 
training in the universities most relevant method is the study and use of innovative 
technologies. At the profile level learning a foreign language is necessary to use 
technology of modular training, the main objective of which is the willingness and 
ability of the university student to independent study of a foreign language. 
The main principle and content of the training is presented in complete 
independent set-modules (information blocks) that develop and provide training for 
teachers, Complexes - modules are methodological guidance on its application, which 
specifies not only the volume of the studied content, but also its level of assimilation. 
At the forefront are the student's abilities and skills as independence, self-
organization, self-control and self-esteem, as well as a desire to give full time to 
acquire these qualities not only in the study of foreign languages, but also to explore 
other sciences and subjects. Unfortunately, not all first-year students, where there is a 
profile and learning foreign languages at an early stage of learning have already 
formed the quality of data. In this case, the teacher should be divided into stages of a 
major educational goal, which is to solve the problems it is necessary to form it 
within the individual elements of training modules. The relationship between teacher 
and student are inherently subject-subject relationship, the result of which is a 
separate and awareness in order to achieve the required level in a modular training 
and where the necessary degree of student adaptation to the new conditions of 
methodological and pedagogical process. 
When subject-subject relationship in modular training instructor develops the 
so-called instructions or guidelines to help students when using these instructions to 
independently acquire knowledge through information provided to it by using 
modular technology of training, which is based on manipulation of the free 
educational material. The task of the teacher is to manage student learning activities, 
constant encouragement and motivation of their independent work. The cycle 'Self or 
extracurricular activities, and self-control is carried out on the keys. It is central, 
because in it lies a full self-technology and self-control. Material for learning 
arranged in blocks, is provided to each student for independent work. The student 
finds and fixes their own reference synopsis explained teacher training material, 
making a series of exercises in his assimilation and step by step self-control on the 
keys, meets the requirements and plan the project tasks (if it is provided as a final 
stage module assimilation), clarifies the terms of operation of the module and time

final test. Each module is the integration of different types and forms of education 
and training material as a whole, aimed at solving common problems, and the main 
goal, which is based on problem-based learning. 
In developing the module structure must take into account the individual 
characteristics of students to easily change the content of training and the possibility 
of its use in the teaching of foreign languages, which indicates a comprehensive 
didactic purpose, and realize how personally meaningful expected results. 
Thus, the modular training has the following advantages. This independence, in 
which students reach a specific goal of the educational process - reinforce knowledge 
on a particular subject. Since students pay in learning a lot of time for independent 
work, the students gain important skills such as self-organization, self-control and 
self-esteem. Students have the opportunity to realize themselves them selves in the 
learning process, to independently determine the level of development of knowledge, 
to see the shortcomings in their knowledge and skills and to address these 
shortcomings. Using training modules developed elements such as a student card, as 
independence and collectivism. Use of modular training contributes to the change and 
improvement in the efficiency of traditional grammar teaching methods, vocabulary

training programs are determined; student has the opportunity to fulfill your potential, 
to obtain positive results in the learning process, the teacher develops a variety of 
individual approaches in the learning process. The main function of the teacher in the 
learning module, as already mentioned above, is based on an individual approach to 
each student, - consulting and coordinating. This technology allows the student 
learning not only cramming the material under study, which is fairly typical of the 
traditional education system, and to produce their own information on a given topic. 
This form of work teaches students to look for the right information without 
someone's guiding role that is essential for the formation of the person and a 
professional in his activity. Such training is more effective than communicating with 
an audience of 20 people. It is much more effective than the usual form of training 
and makes you think and not stupid to learn the material issued. 
The main disadvantage of modular training should include the following: the 
composition of modules is quite troublesome and time-consuming process for the 
teacher and takes a long time; the student is not always mentally prepared for 
independent learning, since it is completely absent motivation to study this subject, 
because it considers it an afterthought. In this case, the teacher is required to make 
every effort to convince the student of the need for learning a foreign language for 
success in his future career and only then offer modular training. In some cases, it is 
impossible to use modular training method on any material; sometimes it is 
impossible to apply for teaching emotionally-shaped or descriptive material.
