Annotation. Rituals play an important role in the lives of all peoples of the world. 

Because human life is inextricably linked with rituals. For this reason, they are studied as a 

separate object of study in folklore. But to date, there are many aspects of this topic that have 

not yet been explored. This article is the first in our folklore to consider the “Black Cauldron” 

ceremony, which is part of the system of family and domestic ceremonies. There are various 

genres in ceremonial folklore based on the magical power of the word. Some of them have not 

been studied so far, have not even come to the attention of researchers. We have covered in 

detail the order, place, time, in whose presence and in what conditions the “Black Cauldron” 

– the ceremony of passing under the Black Cauldron will take place.
