What qualities do you think a good teacher should have?

I think th at a good teacher should be passionate about both their sub­

ject  and  educating young  people;  w anting  to  help  children  to  learn, 

not just  pass  exams,  should  be  their  priority.  A   good  teac h er  is  also 

fair,  listens to  their students and  recognises w hat learning techniques 

best suit those students.

Would you like to be a teacher?  Why / why not?

Although  I  think education  is  really im portant,  I w ouldn’t w ant  to  be 

a teacher.  I just d o n ’t  think  I  have  it  in  me!  Y ou  have  to be very con­

fident to stand up in front of a class of children  and gain their respect 

and  I just think I would be  too nervous to be  able to  do  it.
