CenturyLink (formerly the Qwest Foundation) has provided $90,000 to the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to promote technology integration and the development of 21st century skills. Teachers & Technology grants are designed to fund projects that use real-world technologies to enrich standards-based curriculum and support student-centered instruction.

The grant application, attached, is the first step in a competitive process that will award $10,000 each to nine teachers or teacher teams who propose a learning project that:

  • Meets the requirements of the program.

  • Is selected for funding by a state-level review panel.

Teachers and teacher-librarians1—certified to teach in Washington State—who work in a Washington State school district with at least one school or administrative building

located in a CenturyLink local service area are encouraged to apply (list of eligible school districts below). The grant application deadline is Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
