Teaching grammar as process

Activity 5

Objectives: letting students to practice the grammar effectively

Level: B1

Teacher instructions:



  • Show the picture (appendix 5) to the students

  • And ask the following question

Questions: What is the reason for people gathering for strike

What was their aims and demands?

Why they were all in red costumes?

Critical analysis of the activity

In this activity the learners are provided with a good condition of practicing the grammar in their oral speeches which is the fundamental principle of teaching grammar as process. Students will learn the grammar in practice.

Activity 6

Objectives: letting students to make a little story using the pictures in the picture.

Level: B1

Teacher instructions:



  • show the picture (see appendix 6) to the students on the screen or distribute it as handouts.

  • Ask students to tell the story they can see in the picture to their peers.

Critical analysis

the activity aimed to enhance students practice the grammar more and learn by practicing. One of the unique feature of the activity is that students can evaluate each others’ products. As it is he component of teaching grammar in process, students will try to master the grammar point by speaking it.
