  April fool’s Day - this is a day to play jokes and make people laugh.

  Christmas Day on the 25^th of December - is normally spent at home with family, with the sending Christmas cards, and the decoration of a Christmas tree in a prominent place in the house.

  Boxing Day-26 December- is so called because it is a time when trades people receive a “Christmas box” some money in appreciation of the work. The day is a public holiday, shops and banks ar6 closed.

  Pancake day -the Tuesday which falls 41 days before Easter^

  Guy Fawkes Night - is also known as “Bonfire Night”. In the days leading up to the 5th of November children traditionally take their homemade Guys out on the streets of their town or village and ask passers- by for ‘a penny for the Guy’.
