The theoretical value of the research lies in the fact that the concept of “listening” has been clarified; the problematic views of listening ability is indicated; the analysis of the problem that EFL learners encounter and its current state in the theory and practice pf pedagogy is carried out.

The practical value of the study lies in the fact that its strategies serve to create a good atmosphere for teaching listening to young learners.

In the course of scientific research, a set of research methods was used to solve the assigned tasks and achieve the goal:

-theoretical level: study and analysis of psychological, pedagogical, linguistic and scientific-methodical literature on the problem under study teaching aids for listening;

-scientific and empirical level: study and generalization of the experience “listen and do” songs and scholars’ opinions by contrasting;

-statistical methods: processing the results of experimental work and put into action the strategies
