map. Ask them to repeat after you and help with the pronunciation of
the geographical names.

How many parts are there in the UK?

Ask:
What are they? Elicit the answers.
Answer key: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland
Ask:
What’s the capital of Wales? Elicit the answer (Cardiff), and
draw their attention to how they are written on the mind map.
STEP 5: Once the
pupils understand what to do, ask the pupils to
complete the mind map for the other 3 countries.
