Steps
Interaction
Prepare cards with letters A – J. Put them on the floor in 
random.
say: 
‘Let’s play. Listen and jump.’ Demonstrate with one 
pupil what to do. say any letter and help the pupil to jump on 
it or jump and stand next to this letter.

the pupils stand up.

‘How are you?’ Get the answers from the pupils.

‘Sit down please.’ Use gestures so the pupils sit down.  
show the pupils the textbook. say: 
‘Take out your books.’ Make 
sure all the children have their Pupil’s book.
say: 
‘Open your books on Page 16.’ Point to Activity 1. Use 
gestures and wait for all the children to open their textbooks. 
Check if they have the correct page. 
say: 
‘Look and listen.’ Play the DVD, track Days of the week.
