According to a survey, the pie charts give information on the differences between the share of girls and boys doing several leisure activities.
As can be clearly seen, most of the boys like to play computer games, while dancing is the most popular activity among girls. Listening to music, however, is the less favorable free-time activity for both genders.
Just over one third of boys play computer games in their leisure time (34%). This is more than twice as much as the share of girls doing the same activity. Basketball playing is also more common among boys, with their share at 26%, while that of girls playing netball stands at lower 15%. In addition, listening to music is far lower in both girls and boys, showing 10% for each. However, girls, at 22%, are much more interested in reading books, compared to boys, at a mere 2%.
There are also some activities that boys and girls share the different taste in. In detail, 11% of boys go skateboarding according to a survey, but the same percentage of girls do gymnastics in their free-time. The other remaining activities are soccer, which is played by 17% boys, and dancing that is preferred by the majority of girls, 27%.
