THE IMPORTANCE OF INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODS AND 
TOOLS IN TEACHING MEDICAL SCIENCES TO STUDENTS

According to a number of scientific pedagogical workers, to improve and the 
revitalization of the educational process in higher education is of great importance 
taking into account the peculiarities of university education, which requires 
restructuring in student’s stereotypes of academic work prevailing in school, and 
weapons new skills and abilities of educational and cognitive activities. One of 
significant components of the strategy of restructuring vocational education the 
widespread introduction of active forms of education into the educational process, 
which cover all types of classroom and extracurricular activities with students. 
Experts designate several dozen in teaching practice phenomena that act as 
teaching methods, that is, special, purposeful pedagogical actions to organize 
cognitive and practical activities of students in the learning process. Most 
recognizable - exercises, story, conversation, play.
To navigate in this diversity and 
understand which methods are advisable to use in a particular educational situation, 
in order to achieve certain goals, their you need to build in a certain chain of 
command, in a system, that is, to classify. Scientific classification always "rests" on a 
certain basis: the main feature is highlighted, according to the manifestations of 
which it is built classification. Classifications of teaching methods take into account 
the essence the very concept of "teaching method". Teaching methods can vary from 
subject to subject and the teacher selects the best one for the topic. Whatever the 
method is, it should be suitable for the lesson and the age of the students. 
Medical sciences are more difficult compared to another subjects, therefore the 
teachers who give lectures to medical students have to present the ideas in an easy 
way. The reason of the difficulties in explaining process, we think that usage of

innovative technologies, such as, videos, audios, electron books are the best way of 
giving very beautiful lectures at the university.
Types of innovative educational technologies that can be used in a medical 
university: Lesson - conference - in quality of home assignment, each student is 
given a theme for performance (time regularly), the information should be from 
scientific publications, monographs. Lesson imitates scientific conference. Training – 
one from comparative new methods of interactive training. Various situations 
occurring in training groups, being educational and in this in the sense of the 
contextual, playful, for the learning, they appear as fully real situations in which it is 
necessary to act with full responsibility for the result of the action. Debates-
exchanges on a specific problem. Brain strum - radiation from the group in a short 
time number of answer options. The technology for creating electronic textbooks is 
quite laborious and includes the following stages: definition of development goals 
and objectives according to guidelines, the development of the structure of the 
electronic textbook, development of content for sections and topics of the textbook, 
preparation of materials for individual structures of an electronic textbook, 
programming, approbation, content correction based on the results approbation, 
preparation of a methodological manual for the user. 
Using technology in the classroom can allow teachers' to effectively organize 
and present ideas about lesson topics. Multimedia, such as, presentations related to 
the topic can make the material more meaningful and engaging.
Furthermore, electron laboratories also plays an important role in explaining 
the topic and helps teacher in difficult situations. For example, sometimes there is 
lack of chemical and biological compounds in laboratory, on that time using electron 
ones is the best way of solving problems. In order to know about the difference 
between teaching in traditional way, namely, using blackboard and chalk in audience 
and teaching in an innovative way means that using latest innovative pedagogical and 
information technologies in we have had an experiment with foreigner students. At 
the beginning of the experiment the students did not warned about this methodic, they 
had continued the lessons as usual.

The experiment had taken under the groups 112 A and 112 B for 
Biochemistry, on the other hand groups 113 A and 113 B have taken for Medical 
biology. The meaning of the experiment was teaching the groups separately in an 
separate way, for example, group 112 A and group 113 A took lessons only with the 
usage of blackboard, teacher’s explanation , chalk and a book while groups 112 B 
and groups 113 B took classes in an innovative way, that is using laptops, 
demonstrating videos, playing different games, using internet and electron laboratory.
The experiment has taken by the same biochemistry and medical biology teachers 
during a month, after a month we took a test from both groups , then made separate 
result for each of them. According to the result of the test 112 A and 113 A groups 
could solve 24 tests out of 30 which is given by biochemistry whereas 25 tests out of 
30 by medical biology. On the other hand groups 112 B and 113 B could solve 28 
tests out of tests out of 30 which is given by biochemistry whereas 29 tests out of 30 
by medical biology.
The questions of the test was same for all groups, has taken lesson materials 
which the teacher had taught during the lessons. After finishing the experiment the 
result of the survey had calculated in percentages that the group of international 
students who got the traditional way based lessons showed 65% and 79% for 
biochemistry respectively while the group of international students who got the 
interactive way based lessons showed 72% and 82% for medical biology 
respectively.

So, pedagogical technology is main tool of teaching processes. Teaching 
successfully with technology requires continually creating, maintaining and re-
establishing. Changing the shape and size of the educational material, the process of 
adapting the reader or the students, it also relates to educational technology. 
Pedagogical technology is, the objective aim of education and training, based on the 
diagnostic goals, the development and improvement of the content, methods and tools 
of teaching and learning, which is a teaching process that incorporates innovations in 
science and technology. As a conclusion, we can say that using new pedagogical and 
information technologies are one of the great opportunity is in teaching subjects, on 
the one hand, to develop of communicative competence of students who are studying 
in a high education is very difficult process. To elaborate subjects are comprehensive 
way to improve process because with authentic material, learner can practice with 
reading and speaking and it very efficient in teaching process, it will provide the 
future professionals for occupation.
