Objectives:

  To discuss about causes of corruption in education

  To let pupils to know about some possible solutions to it

  To improve pupils` awareness of such wrongdoing in their studies

  To make pupils gain knowledge about it and avoid it
  

Outcomes:

  Pupils will have understanding of main causes of corruption in education

  Pupils will acquire some possible solutions to it

  Materials: handouts, pictures, whiteboard, laptop, pens, pencils speakers, cue cards, internet sources, dictionaries and others.
  

Activity type: individual, pair and group work

Procedure of the lesson

P re stage

-Teacher introduces topic and asks if pupils know about what is corruption itself?

-Teacher provides the meaning, definition and types of it in after they give their own opinions ( 4 minutes)

While stage

Activity 1

-Teacher shows a video about corruption in education and its causes alongside with solutions

-Pupils listen it thoroughly and put down bullet point in their exercise-books (5 minutes)



A ctivity 2

-Teacher write the topic on the white board saying “are there strict or mild punishments for bribing”

-Pupils get divided into two groups: the first group members speak about pros of strict punishments while the second speak about the cons of mild punishments on corrupting (8 minutes)

Activity 3

-Teacher distributes three the same pictures depicting a situation between a pupil and a teacher

-Pupils should be divided into three groups and they should create their own groups` oral story about it and retell among others (7 minutes)



Post stage

- Teacher asks if pupils have any questions about the topic

- Teacher marks pupils who participated in the lesson better than other peers

- Teacher tells pupils to write a paragraph about the topic “ your future is in your hand: corruption or promising future?” (6 minutes)
