Procedure: Teacher asks students to describe the difference between the articulatory-acoustic feartures of the given vowels: /i/, /e/, /æ/, /a:/, /ɔ/, /ɔ:/, /u/, /ʌ/, /з:/, /ә/, /i:/, /u:/; /ai/, /oi/, /ei/, /eә/, /iә/, /uә/, / әu/, /au/. T. explains shortly the difference between the monophthongs and diphthongs.
