LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

ON COMBATING TERRORISM

Terrorism - violence, threat of its use or other criminal acts,

creating a danger to life, personal health, destruction

(damage) property and other material objects and directed

to compel a state, international organization, physical or

a legal entity to commit or refrain from committing any

actions, complication of international relations, violation of sovereignty,

territorial integrity, undermining the security of the state,

provocation of armed conflicts, intimidation of the population,

destabilization of the socio-political situation, to achieve

political, religious, ideological and other goals, responsibility

for which it is provided by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Basic principles of the fight against terrorism

 legality;

 priority of the rights, freedoms and lawful interests of the individual;

 priority of measures to prevent terrorism;

 inevitability of punishment;

 a combination of overt and covert methods of combating terrorism;

unity command in the leadership of the anti-terrorist operation,

by the forces and means involved.

Powers of the State Customs Committee of the Republic

Uzbekistan in the field of combating terrorism

Takes measures to prevent, detect and suppress attempts

illegal movement at checkpoints through the State

the border of the Republic of Uzbekistan of narcotic drugs, psychotropic and

explosives, explosive devices, weapons, weapons and

munitions, nuclear, biological, chemical or other types

weapons of mass destruction, materials and equipment that can

be used in terrorist acts;

exercises other powers in accordance with the legislation.

extremism - an expression of extreme forms of action aimed at

destabilization of the socio-political situation, violent

changes in the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan, violent

seizure of power and the appropriation of its powers, the incitement of national,

racial, ethnic or religious enmity.
