Khoja Ali Romitani, known by the pseudonym "Azizon", was born in 588 AH, 1191 AD in the village of Qurghon in the Romitan district of Bukhara. He was a medium-sized, handsome man with a radiant face. Ali Romitani chose the path of poverty and was engaged in weaving. He was outwardly with the people and inwardly with the Truth. He had a high spiritual status and showed extraordinary miracles
Ali Romitani, popularly known as "Azizon" among the mystics, led the people in Romitan for several years, then moved to Boward (Abivard), where he also raised murids. Eventually, he moved to Khorezm and settled there.
According to Rashahat ayn ul-Hayat and Hazarat ul-Quds, Khoja Ali Romitani received a written permission from the ruler to live in Khorezm. He would go to the labor market every day, bring a couple of workers home, teach them religion and mysticism, and pay them in the evening. But anyone who heard Hodja Ali Romitani's speech once would come again. At the same time, the number of disciples quickly increased.
Badriddin Hamadani, one of the most famous sheikhs of his time, asked Hodja Ali Romitani: "Remember Allah often ..." (Surat al-Ahzab, 41) Is dhikr jahr or dhikr mentioned in the Qur'an? When he was asked, Hodja Ali Romitani replied, "According to the Mubtadi (newcomer to the sect), he is a jahri, and according to the muntahi (a murid who brings the suluk to the end), he is a hafiz." "What is your proof for dhikr?" They said, "Interpret the remembrance of Tawheed in your last breath." This interpretation is, of course, Jahriya, and the pious person considers every breath as the last breath.
Hazrat Hoja Ali Romitani was also a writer and poet. Persian poems full of proverbs are over. According to Said Nafisi, the author of the History of Poetry, Hoja Ali Romitani has a work called Mahbub ul-Arifin. It explains the ten basic rules recommended to murids. In this work and in some other sources (such as Rasoili sittai zaruriya, Ali Safi's Rashahot ayn ul-hayat, Rizaqulikhan's Riyaz ul-Arifin and Majma ul-fusaho), the poems of Khoja Ali Romitani are quoted. Some of the views of Hoja Ali Romitani were summarized in a small pamphlet by his son Hoja Ibrahim. Muhammad Khorezmi Arzangi commented on this treatise (about the 15th century) and arranged a single work entitled "Sharhi Risolai Azizon" or "Manoqibi Khoja Ali Azizoni Romitani". A small pamphlet, Risolai Khojai Azizon, is attributed to Khoja Ali Romitani in the Fihristi nushaho.
Excerpts from the words of Hoja Ali Romitani:
- Be grateful for service, do not be grateful for service. -A person should always do good deeds, but think that he did not do it.
- The fact that the tongue is constantly engaged in dhikr is a "dhikr kasir," that is, "a lot of dhikr" commanded by the Truth. If a secret dhikr is popular, then he has made a dhikr ...
- Be careful of two things: when eating and when talking.
"Pray for your brother in innocent language, he will not be rejected." That is, your tongue has not sinned against him, his tongue has not sinned against you, and the sincere prayer of a brother to a brother should be in this way. The Taliban are perfect by taking a place in the heart of a true friend." This is the shortest way to spiritual maturity.
- The condition of love is to follow. Whoever says, "I am the ummah of the Prophet," must first submit to him.
- Talk to the Almighty, if you cannot talk to him, talk to those who have spoken to him.
- The world and the hereafter are like two sisters. A man cannot marry a sister at the same time. The love of this world and the hereafter cannot coexist. However, they are both creatures. Therefore, the love of the creator and the creature is not concentrated in one place. - According to the verse "(Every) good word ascends to Him" (Surat al-Fatir, 10), a dhikr bird must have two wings in order to fly. These are peace and sincerity ...
- A servant cannot be Allah, but he is only characterized by the attributes of Allah.
From Khoja Ali Romitani "What is faith?" When asked (or “What is Sufism?”), he replied, “Separating and uniting” (i.e., separating the heart from the love of the world and turning it to the Truth).
Hoja Ibrahim, the son of Hodja Ali Romitani, asked his father, "Mansur Hallaj said, 'Anal-haq (I am right),' and he was executed. Boyazid Bastami He said, "There is nothing in my heart but Allah." They did not say anything to him. What is the wisdom of this? Hoja Ali Romitani: “Mansur put forward mania and began to say the word‘ I ’, so he got into trouble. Boyazid, on the other hand, claimed nothingness, began with "no," and survived.
Ali Romitani, who corresponded with Alouddawla Simnoni, one of the Kubrawi sheikhs, and Sayyid ota, a Yassaviya sheikh, lived for 130 years. They raised five men named Muhammad. Each of them was a scholar, a perfect, a guardian in knowledge and virtue: Khoja Muhammad Ibrahim (his son, died in 1391), Khoja Muhammad Kulohdoz Khorezmi, Khoja Muhammad Halloj Balkhi, Khoja Muhammad Bovardi Khorezmi, Khoja Muhammad Boboi Samosi. These caliphs of Khoja Ali Romitani then continued to propagate the Khojagan sect in Khorezm, Bukhara and Balkh.
Described as the "King of Truth", this great man later gave the permission of the sheikh to Muhammad Baba'i Sammosi in Khojagan-Naqshbandi.
The tomb of Khoja Ali Romitani is said to be in the Old Urgench of the Stone Pool in Khorezm. Evidence of this is the writings of Ali Romitani.
Come to the Truth Romitan,
Come on in, take a look, Romitan.
Find the one you love,
Get your head out of here, Romitan.

the mausoleum of Khoja Azizon (Ali Romitani) - the performer of desires. This is one of the most famous spiritual mentors, nicknamed in the people of Azizon - Venerable Sheikh. He was born in 1195, lived almost all his life in Kurgan and was engaged in the weaver's craft. It was thanks to him that a truly incredible event happened - the Mongolian khans accepted Islam. The Mongols seriously considered Sufi mentors to be miracle workers, however, they were such. The legend of Romitani says that he was very loved by Allah, so that any of his desires fulfilled immediately. Another thing is that the desires of a modest Sufi practically did not exist, a piece of bread and water for one day. He never left food for the morning, rightly believing that there will be a day - there will be food. Once he was taken by surprise by guests who came to him late at night, and there was nothing to feed them. Azizon asked God for mercy, and immediately heard a knock on the gate, - came a young man with a basket of hot cakes. After the guests were fed and laid to sleep, the sheikh turned to the young man, with a proposal to ask for anything for such a service. But he asked strange - to be outwardly and mentally similar to the sheikh. Azizon tried to dissuade him, but the Murid was adamant. And the next morning from the house of Romitani came two completely identical people. One of them died a month later. Because I could not bear the weight of knowledge, wisdom and holiness. His grave can be seen on a hill, opposite the mausoleum.
The sources cite the prophecies of Hoja Ali Rometaniy including one day in the month of Ramadan, they invite Azizon to 18 places for iftar. The pilgrim promised to go to everyone and broke their fast in 18 places at the same time.
Romitani treated people who were completely hopeless, and always said that it was not he, but Allah tells him who to cure.
The Sufi himself worked and fed himself at the expense of the craft until his death, and did not leave his wretched dwelling, despite the requests of the disciples
