ON THE HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE TURKIC KAGANATE

ABSTRACT 
This  article  provides  a  brief  historiographic  analysis  of  the  period  of  the  Turkic  Kaganate.  It 
also  reveals  the  relationship  between  the  Turkic  Khagans  and  Iranian  rulers,  which  was 
reflected  in  the  sources  of  that  period.  The  author  seeks  to  show  that  the  period  of  the  Turkic 
Kaganate played an important role in the development of the statehood of Central Asia. Attempts 
were  made  to  show  how  important  the  Kaganate  agreements  with  such  major  powers  as 
Byzantium, Iran and China were important for the development of the country.
