Uporaba mehanskih pripomočkov za zunanjo masažo srca (MPZMS) in poškodbe
Že kmalu po uvedbi novih MPZMS se je pojavila bojazen, da povzročajo več poškodb pri oživljanju in
s tem povečujejo smrtnost. Primerjalne študije o preživetju bolnikov oživljanih na običajen način v
primerjavi s skupino bolnikov, ki so bili oživljani s pomočjo MPZMS so kazale primerljiv ali pa celo boljši
izhod v skupini tistih, ki so bili oživljani s pomočjo MPZMS, kar ne podpira te bojazni (7, 8, 9, 10). Kljub
temu so patologi, ki so bili bolj pozorni na poškodbe zaradi oživljanja (11), začeli natančneje iskati tudi
