Educational system in the first years of independence. The education system is the most important basis for cultural and spiritual development. Without the training of qualified personnel with knowledge of modern science and technology, the progress of society cannot be achieved. On July 2, 1992, Uzbekistan adopted the law "On education". This document outlines the main principles of state policy in the field of education, clearly defines the responsibilities and responsibilities of the education system, its management staff, and teaching staff. In the first years of independence, more than 10,000 employees of public education privatized state homes for free, and more than 22,000 employees were privatized housing at the disposal of organizations and institutions for free. More than 50 thousand teachers were allocated land plots for individual construction. All teachers living in rural areas were exempted from paying for utilities, and urban teachers were exempted from utility payments by 50%. In consequence of such benefits and public services was replaced by the payment of compensation to a monthly salary.

Based On the law of 1992, General education has been implemented in the following stages:

Stage I-primary education (grades 1-4);

Stage II-primary (basic) school (grades 4-9);

Stage III-senior secondary school (grades 10-11);

According to the decree of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted in December 1996, October 1 was declared The Day of Teachers and Mentors, a holiday weekend.

In Uzbekistan, everyone is guaranteed equal rights to receive education, regardless of their gender, language, age, ethnic and national affiliation, attitude to religion, social origin, type of service, social status, place of residence.
