Tourism: problems and solutions (analysis and results) 
Qalajik Fortress is one of the places that has long attracted the attention of 
designers, tourism organizations and investors. We can say that it is the second 
largest tourist destination in Khorezm after Khiva. There are several reasons to say 
so. First, the locals visit here without a tourist trip. 
After all, the lake near the fortress serves as a healing place for the people of 
Khorezm. Every year in the chill of summer, groups of people come here for 
treatment of bone and skin diseases such as leg pain and back pain. This seasonally 
ongoing visit has certainly not gone unnoticed by traders and has become a source 
of revenue. Secondly, most foreign visitors to our region are interested in this place. 
Third, regional historians also periodically organize scientific expeditions to the 
area. 
It is safe to say that the focus on the development of tourism in our country, 
that is, the issuance of a number of decisions and decrees,

has awakened the 
representatives of the tourism industry. As a result, Qalajik was considered as a 
region where domestic tourism could be developed. The work, which began with 
thoughts, ideas, suggestions and conversations, was connected with the final project

work of students. For example, in 2011 Bekzod Rajabov, a student of the Faculty of 
Architecture and Construction of UrSU, defended his dissertation on "Designing a 
recreation complex around the lake in the southern part of the castle Qalajik in Bagat 
district" and proposed a preliminary project.

Then U. Egamberdiev's scientific 
work on "Repair of Qalajik fortress and design of a tourist site in Bagat district"

appeared. Then, the castle became one of the perspective plans of the region in the 
field of tourism. In 2020, the researcher of Khorezm Mamun Academy M.B. 
Setmamatov published a new project article in the 8th issue of the Bulletin of the 
Khorezm Mamun Academy on "Repair and beautification of the fortress Kalajik, 
which echoes the history of Khorezm." 
The article suggests a project of Qalajik Fortress as a new tourist destination.

An extremely beautiful and lucrative source of domestic tourism is before our eyes. 
If organized according to the project, in a very short time it will become a vibrant 
place in our region. According to the designers, Bagat district will be able to employ 
hundreds of people in the Tashkent collective farm, and the population will be able 
to spend their free time on a voluntary basis. Over the years, many people have 
moved around it. Let's say Khiva is the 1st historical city of Khorezm as the 2nd 
historical city, the castle will be the basis for the spread of the castle dong.
