BIBLICAL GENERATION

I am SO TIRED of people writing me that a biblical generation is “70 years”.

Like brainwashed automatons they repeat ad nauseam WHAT THEY HEARD from OTHER religious robots, who probably picked it up at “Bi-BULL” College, and who HAVEN’T STUDIED OR SEARCHED the Scriptures THEMSELVES, LIKE THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO DO BEFORE they spread some unscriptural myth (John 5:39; 2 Timothy 2:15).

They supposedly “base” their ASSUMPTION on ONE passage of Scripture TAKEN TOTALLY OUT OF CONTEXT.

Meanwhile, THEY COMPLETELY OVERLOOK the MANY biblical passages that DO tell us what a biblical generation is.

Once and for all: Psalm 90 SAYS NO SUCH THING!!!

All that Moses said in verse one of that Psalm is that GOD has been “our dwelling place” THROUGHOUT ALL OUR GENERATIONS (plural)!!!

That’s ALL He said.

Verse two doubles up on this assertion by saying that “from everlasting to everlasting” (for ALL generations) He IS God.

Verse 4 says: “For A THOUSAND YEARS in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night”.

Does that mean that a generation is A THOUSAND YEARS???

God forbid.

They have to SKIP ALL THE WAY OVER TO VERSE 10 to make their dumb “case”:

“The days OF OUR YEARS (NOT of our “generations”) are 70 years; and IF WE HAVE THE STRENGTH they are 80 years”…

If you’re going to make a case for a generation based on THAT ONE verse, then you would have to say it’s 70-80 years, not merely “70” years.

The word “generation”, however, is CONSPICUOUSLY MISSING from that verse. It simply ISN’T THERE.

Moses was merely giving the GENERAL LIFESPAN among Israelites at the time he wrote that Psalm.

Moses himself lived to the ripe old age of 120 (Deuteronomy 34:7). His successor Joshua lived to 110 (Joshua 24:29).

We know that another contemporary, Caleb, was still going strong at 85 years of age, and probably lived to 100 or more (Joshua 14:10).

Moses wrote that Psalm around 1,407 B.C., shortly before his death.

WE KNOW that ALL Israelites that were 20 years OR OLDER (except for Joshua, Caleb and some Levites) had perished DURING THE PREVIOUS 40 YEARS, because they had believed “the evil report” from the spies (Numbers 14:29-35; Deuteronomy 2:14).

THAT’S what Moses was referring to when he says they lived to 70 or, AT MOST, 80 years, because most had died at 60 years of age OR SHORTLY AFTER.

For those who CAN’T ADD 20 + 40 = 60, 30 + 40 = 70 and 40 + 40 = 80.

All Moses was saying is THAT GOD HAD KEPT HIS WORD by NOT allowing them to enter the Promised Land, and by having ALL of them die within that 40 year-period where they’d wandered in the wilderness, EXACTLY as He’d promised: 

Consequently, that unbelieving bunch lived to 70, or at the most, 80 years of age.

Dear God!!! Doesn’t ANYONE STUDY God’s Word anymore?

Are Christians too stupid or too lazy to THINK AND SEARCH God’s Word FOR THEMSELVES?

Do I have to do EVERYTHING?

Now that we’ve DEBUNKED THAT moronic myth, HOW LONG DOES SCRIPTURE INDICATE A BIBLICAL GENERATION IS?

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE 10 COMMANDMENTS?

What's so terrible about keeping the 10 Commandments?

Are they not a good, moral guide for society?

Why won't I give an inch when it comes to the Old Testament being abolished?

Because we have A NEW and BETTER Testament.

Because it took NOTHING LESS THAN the Precious Blood of our Jesus to make that New Testament.

Because the Old Testament can't make ANYONE righteous. 

ONLY JESUS can do that.

Because in the Old Testament God's law was ON THE OUTSIDE.

Because in the New Testament we have His law ON THE INSIDE.

Because His Law is now WRITTEN IN OUR HEARTS.

Yes, the 10 Commandments are a good, moral guide for society in general.

BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIANS!!!

In the Old Testament NO ONE, including Moses, was born again.

NO ONE had GOD living IN them.

Hence, they needed to have some just, moral code ON THE OUTSIDE that told them what NOT to do. (Galatians 3:24-25)

In the New Testament, when Jesus is invited to enter our hearts, HE HIMSELF comes to LIVE IN US thru His Holy Spirit. 

 We are supposed to be led by His HOLY Spirit FROM INSIDE, NOT from a bunch of "commandments" ON THE OUTSIDE (Romans 8:14)

Under the NEW Testament we have Christ's OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, and the Righteous One Himself, ON THE INSIDE.  (2 Corinthians 5:21) 

NOTHING and NO ONE can separate us from Him, and NOTHING and NO ONE can bring ANY charge or condemnation against us.  NO ONE!!!

All we have to do IN THE NEW TESTAMENT is PAY ATTENTION to Him inside of us, and follow His lead.

God has NO LAW AGAINST Himself.

Repeat: God has NO LAW, and NO COMMANDMENTS, AGAINST Himself.

Once we open our hearts, invite Jesus to enter, and become born-again, DON'T EVER LOOK FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT ON THE INSIDE.

Good works are ON THE OUTSIDE. That's why NO AMOUNT OF GOOD WORKS WILL EVER SAVE US.

Salvation is ALREADY IN US. He LIVES IN us. He IS our righteousness.

We are not to live IN BONDAGE TO a bunch of "thou shall nots", but by the FREEDOM of the Spirit's "thou shalls".

We don't need an outward law, when we have Him/it inwardly.

WHO NEEDS commandments carved in stone ON THE OUTSIDE, WHEN WE HAVE GOD'S OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, the LIVING, Incarnate WORD and His MOST HOLY SPIRIT ON THE INSIDE?

ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART

In Matthew 12:24 Jesus said:
"O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, SPEAK GOOD THINGS? For OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART, THE MOUTH SPEAKS".

No truer principle has ever been spoken.

WHAT WE HAVE IN OUR HEARTS will, sooner or later, COME OUT OF OUR MOUTHS.

We can pretend, lie, be hypocritical and say one thing, when we really feel something else, but we can only carry on such act for a short while.

It's just A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE OUR MOUTHS REVEAL HOW WE REALLY FEEL.

That's why we can fool some people some times, but we cannot fool ALL the people ALL the time.

That's why we CAN'T fool God at ANY time.

He KNOWS EXACTLY what's in our hearts.

He KNOWS even BEFORE it comes out our mouths.

Tell me the ONE THING you just can't shut up about, and I'll tell you what's in your heart.

So, I ask you today what or WHO is in your heart?

What or who do you talk about CONSTANTLY?

What can’t they EVER SHUT YOU UP ABOUT?

The Super Bowl? Dancing with the Stars? Soccer? Sex? Food? Some lame "celebrity"? Business? Money? Politics? Your denomination? Some pet doctrinal issue you want to IMPOSE on others? Some self-exalting, I'm better and know better than you opinion that you wish to push?

Or is it Jesus?

Is Jesus REALLY in your heart?

If He is, how come you NEVER talk about Him?

THE PURE GOSPEL

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is GOOD news.

RELIGION has turned it into BAD news.

RELIGION has corrupted the true Gospel into an IMPURE, unholy MIXTURE of “faith” plus man-invented “conditions”.

There are NO “CONDIITIONS”.

And if you think there are “conditions”, then you don’t really HAVE faith: you DON’T REALLY TRUST Jesus.

God’s Love, forgiveness, justification and redemption are UNCONDITIONAL to ALL who RECEIVE Christ (John 1:12; 6:37)

The GOOD NEWS is this:

Jesus TOOK AWAY the sin of the world – once and for all. Therefore, God is NOT angry with us, and He NO LONGER COUNTS SINS AGAINST US. (John 1:29; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Hebrews 9:26; 1 John 3:5)

Those who receive Christ into their hearts and TRUST Him completely for salvation INSTANTLY have ALL their sins removed, never to be remembered again. (Psalm 103:12; Isaiah 43:25; Jeremiah 31:34; Romans 8:1, 31; Hebrews 8:12; 10:17)

The true Gospel is not just GOOD news: it’s THE BEST NEWS in the whole universe:

100% GUARANTEED ETERNAL LIFE in union with Him who is NOT only Almighty, not only the wisest Being in the universe, not only the Creator, but Divine Love Personified.

NOTHING ELSE can remotely compare with the Message of FREE SALVATION that Jesus offers.

NO RELIGION can REMOTELY compare.

NO RELIGION can REMOTELY offer that tremendous and ETERNAL GUARANTEE.

But my denomination teaches that you also need…

Wrong: There are NO “BUTS”.

But my “evangelical” pastor says that is true ONLY IF…

Wrong: There are NO “IFS”.

Jesus DID IT ALL – so that Salvation COULD BE FREE to all (WHOEVER) receives Him into his/her heart and TRUSTS Jesus COMPLETELY for Salvation. (John 3:16-17; Romans 10:9)

NO Ifs, ands or buts!

Religion has tried hard to “complicate it”, but Salvation is SIMPLE AND EASY.

Salvation is available TO EVERYONE who WANTS Him (it).

Revelation 22:17:

“Let ANYONE who is thirsty COME. Let ANYONE who wants DRINK FREELY FROM THE WATER OF LIFE.”

LOST IN TRANSLATION – PART TWO

Here are some of the most glaringly incorrect -- and CONSEQUENTIAL -- MISTRANSLATIONS of Scripture:

 1. IMMEDIATELY AFTER (Matthew 24:29)

The Greek words eutheos de meta should be translated as “immediately WITH”.

THE SIGNS described in this passage INDICATE that the tribulation HAS JUST BEGUN and that SEVERE JUDGMENTS will soon follow:

 ALL other Scriptures (Isaiah 13:10, Joel 2:10-11, 31 and Revelation 6:12) that mention THESE SAME SIGNS, clearly state they happen as the tribulation BEGINS, BEFORE the tribulation judgments take place, NOT AFTER:

SIGNS are ALWAYS given BEFORE important events, NEVER AFTER.

Signs given AFTER something’s already happened are WORTHLESS.

They are also UNNECESSARY.

Why would anyone need “signs” that something HAS ALREADY happened?

Especially something as unprecedented and DEVASTATING as the tribulation…

The same word (meta) translated “after” in verse 29 is CORRECTLY translated “with” in verses 30 and 31.

Question: WHY did they translate THE SAME WORD as “after” ONLY in verse 29, but as “WITH” in the next two verses?

This DELIBERATE mistranslation shows HOW ORGANIZED RELIGION INTENTIONALLY TAMPERED with the Word of God to MAKE IT reflect its false post-tribulation doctrine.

 

2. FALLING AWAY (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

This passage clearly says that the Day of the Lord (tribulation) CANNOT COME unless "THE DEPARTURE" (Rapture) takes place.

The Rapture, therefore, takes place AS THE TRIBULATION BEGINS, NOT after it ENDS. (Revelation 7:9)

But, since this Holy Spirit inspired Truth DOES NOT support official RELIGIOUS doctrine, it was translated as “apostasy” in Roman Catholic Bibles and as “falling away” in the Protestant King James.

NOTHING here indicates MASSIVE DEFECTION from the faith.

And NOTHING'S “falling away” from nowhere. 

Ho apostasia, literally means “THE DEPARTURE”.

The Greek apostasia DOES NOT MEAN “apostasy” (as in departure FROM THE FAITH).

It would ONLY mean that if the text SPECIFIES that the “departure” is FROM the faith, as is the case in 1st Timothy 4:1:

Apostēsontai tines tēs pisteōs

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 DOES NOT mention departure FROM the faith, but merely “THE DEPARTURE”.

This proves that organized religion HAS NO COMPUNCTION WHATSOEVER ABOUT LYING and CONTRADICTING GOD, as long as it can advance its ungodly agenda.

3. ACCOUNTED WORTHY (Luke 21:36)

What to do if you want to CONTRADICT GOD and preach a FALSE, IMPURE “gospel” of SALVATION THROUGH A MIXTURE OF faith plus WORKS?

MISTRANSLATE His Word, of course!

The Greek katischuo means "TO HAVE STRENGTH WITHIN”.

It has NOTHING TO DO WITH “worthiness”.

The words "accounted worthy" ARE NOT FOUND IN the original Greek.

The Greek word for "worthy" is aksios. It DOES NOT APPEAR AT ALL in this passage.

Therefore, the original verse WAS CHANGED INTENTIONALLY to accommodate religious heresy.

I have found only 5 English Bibles that give an accurate translation of this verse: the English Standard Version, the Berean Study Bible, the Berean Literal Bible, the NET Bible, and the New American Standard Bible.

ALL other English translations, including the KJV, are INCORRECT.

4. CAN FAITH SAVE HIM? (James 2:14)

James was NOT talking about SOUL salvation. He was talking ABOUT SAVING POOR, PERSECUTED BELIEVERS in Jerusalem (where he was Bishop) from dying of STARVATION.

There was famine in Jerusalem and surrounding areas. It was further aggravated by terrible persecution of Christians by both the traditional Jews and the Romans.

This is well documented in secular history and supported by multiple Scriptures (Acts 8:1; 11:27-30; 24:17; Romans 15:25-26; 1 Corinthians 16:1-3; 2 Corinthians 8:14; 2 Corinthians 9:1-5, 12)

Unfortunately, the original Greek DID NOT HAVE punctuation marks.

By MISPLACING a question mark AFTER “can faith save him?” the harlot religion made it APPEAR as though James is saying that FAITH ALONE is INSUFFICIENT to save one’s SOUL.

If we remove that INTENTIONALLY MISPLACED question mark, we find that James is saying that FAITH ALONE CANNOT SAVE a needy brother or sister from PHYSICALLY dying of hunger.

In order to save other believers from PHYSICAL DEATH, their faith had to be accompanied by works, like SENDING THEM FOOD and money to buy food.

IT CANNOT REFER TO SALVATION OF THE SOUL, since the word “soul” does not appear AT ALL in James chapter 2.

 

5. ABRAHAM JUSTIFIED BY WORKS

"Was not Abraham our father JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, when he had offered Isaac his son on the altar? (James 2:21)

The CORRECT translation should be “Did Abraham not DEMONSTRATE HIS JUSTIFICATION (THE JUSTIFICATION HE ALREADY HAD THROUGH FAITH ONLY) when he offered Isaac?”

This is PROVEN BEYOND DOUBT by verse 22 which says:

"You SEE Abraham's faith and what he did worked together. His faith WAS SHOWN TO BE GENUINE BY WHAT HE DID." (James 2:22, God's Word Translation).

And again in verse 24:

You SEE that a man SHOWS THAT HE IS RIGHTEOUS BY WORKS and NOT by faith alone.

All this passage says is that Abraham MADE THE INVISIBLE FAITH HE HAD VISIBLE (SEEN by others) through his actions.

There are AT LEAST THREE INSURMOUNTABLE problems with this mistranslation:

1. Abraham was declared righteous based ON FAITH ALONE, WITHOUT any works. (Genesis 15:6)

2. That happened at least 26 years BEFORE ISAAC WAS EVEN BORN, and AT LEAST 30 YEARS BEFORE he tried to offer Isaac.

Therefore, IT’S IMPOSSIBLE for Abraham to have been “justified” by the work of offering Isaac.

IMPOSSIBLE!!!

But that DIDN’T STOP religious LIARS from changing the original text TO PUSH THEIR UNGODLY AGENDA.

3. GOD SAYS SALVATION is by grace through faith – WITHOUT ANY WORKS -- in AT LEAST 33 New Testament Scriptures:

John 3:16-17

John 5:24

Acts 8:37

Acts 15:7-11

Acts 15:13-20

Romans 3:20

Romans 3:21

Romans 3:22

Romans 3:24

Romans 3:28

Romans 4:6-8 and Psalm 32:1-2

Romans 5:20

6. BAPTISM SAVES

What if you want to teach a FALSE “new birth”, NOT BY RECEIVING JESUS into your heart (John 1:12), but by DUMPING SOME WATER on someone’s body through the FALSE DOCTRINE of water baptism regeneration?

Again, exploit misplaced punctuation marks:

“And its counterpart, baptism, saves us, (not by putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 3:21)

Correct translation:

"And its counterpart, baptism, SAVES US NOT through putting away filthiness of the flesh, ON THE CONTRARY: (what saves is) asking for A GOOD (sin free) CONSCIENCE TOWARD God by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ".

What a difference THE TRUTH makes!

7. WOMEN WILL BE SAVED THROUGH BEARING CHILDREN (1 Timothy 2:15):

Want to discriminate against women, make them feel subservient and inferior?

NO PROBLEM: Just kill two birds with one stone:

Tell them to shut their big mouths, that they are to be seen and NOT heard, and that they’re supposed to be “good little housewives” who double as baby-making machines.

I’ve only found ONE English translation with the correct rendering of this passage: It's the International Standard Version:

"… SHE (in context, Eve) WILL BE SAVED THROUGH THE BIRTH OF THE Child (SINGULAR)".

THAT'S what the ORIGINAL Greek text says.

This isn't talking about women giving birth to children being necessary for salvation. It's talking ABOUT THE BIRTH OF JESUS!!!

THE Child, or "the SEED of the woman" that God promised in Genesis 3:15 would crush satan's head and SAVE ALL OF US - men and women.

Glory to Him from everlasting to everlasting!

8. PAY TITHES (Hebrews 7:9)

"...Levi also, who receives tithes, PAID TITHES in Abraham".

That's how 23 English versions of the Bible, including the King James Version, render this passage.

Only ONE tiny problem: the word "pay" is NOT FOUND in the original text.

The correct translation is: “…Levi also, who receives tithes, TITHED in Abraham".

Abraham tithed ONLY ONCE in his entire life.

He GAVE ONE TENTH of Sodom’s and Gomorrah’s recovered food, clothing, and goods, to Melchizedek. (Genesis 14:16-20)

Abraham DIDN’T “PAY” ANYTHING.

The original Bible text was CHANGED, cleverly and cunningly, to accommodate religious doctrine:

In view of the above, if you ever come across a Bible text that doesn’t jibe with true, biblical doctrine, DON’T ASSUME IT’S CORRECT:

CHECK IT OUT in the original language!

LOST IN TRANSLATION

I adore Jesus and love His written Word.

However, some of the eternal truths that comprise THE TOTAL, absolute Truth, which His Holy Spirit inspired, have been badly mangled, or altogether lost in translation.

As I’ve shared often, the original Bible was written 3,500 years ago (Old Testament) and 2,000 years ago (New Testament).

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek and Aramaic.

They did not get translated into English until the 14^th century.

By then SO MUCH had changed!

Translators and their translations reflected – intentionally or unintentionally – the distortion and religious bias into which a lot of Bible Truth had degenerated.

The degradation of the true Christian faith had been orchestrated by sinful men with reprobate minds, unsaved hearts, and driven by lustful greed and hunger for power.

Regardless of which English version of the Bible we use, most of what it says is accurate.

Regardless of which English version of the Bible we use, ALL OF THEM, including the revered King James translation, CONTAIN ERROR.

That is why serious students of God’s Word should use and compare DIFFERENT translations.

When in doubt, or if something they read is INCONSISTENT WITH true Christian doctrine, they MUST go to the original languages to ascertain the true meaning.

Since most people DO NOT speak Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic, there are Bible dictionaries and lexicons (Hebrew to English, Greek to English, etc.) that can be consulted to determine what particular words actually mean.

Failing that, you can always ask an unbiased, trustworthy, born-again, Spirit-filled person who does understand the original languages.

Regardless of how many Bible translations or translating resources we use, our understanding of God’s Word is SEVERELY LIMITED if we approach it only with our natural minds.

The ORIGINAL Bible is Holy Spirit inspired, and ONLY the Holy Spirit can accurately and completely reveal its meaning.

While inaccurately translated passages are too many to list in one message, Lord willing we will look AT SOME OF THE WORST AND MOST CONSEQUENTIAL MISTRANSLATIONS in tomorrow’s message.

WHERE ARE ALL THE RIVERS?

“In the last day, THAT GREAT DAY of the Feast (Hoshana Rabba or Great Salvation), Jesus stood and said in a loud voice: ‘If any man thirst, let him COME TO ME, AND DRINK.
