Editorial meetings
are held by radio and TV broadcasters to plan what to include in
a particular programme. In the case of a news programme, there may be a meeting
every day or several times a day, with different teams working shifts, to plan the
news
list
(list of stories to be included in the programme).
Debriefing meetings
are held
after an event (such as a broadcast) to analyse what went well and what didn’t, and
to try to find ways of repeating the successes and avoiding the failures in future. They
are also important for motivating staff, i.e. by congratulating them on good work, or
reprimanding them for failures.
