Football Cheerleader Tryout Agreement 

 

The following agreement must be signed and brought the first day of tryouts. In signing and returning this agreement, the student and parents are agreeing to abide by all of its conditions.

 

1. Parental consent to tryout and participate is given when this form is signed and returned.

 

2. Student agrees to abide by the rules and regulations set by the cheer coach, the athletic director, and the administration.

 

3. Student agrees to attend all practice sessions, games, and other scheduled events.

 

4. Student and parents agree to abide by the decision of the panel of qualified judges at tryouts, Tuesday, May 4^th.

  

5. Students and parents agree to provide payment for clothes, shoes and other accessories not provided by NHS.

 

6. Summer camp is mandatory and attendance is required.

7. Fundraising is a requirement by all team members and money is due by the specific dates assigned.

Your recommendation will be combined with two other teacher’s recommendations to count as 20% of the student’s final tryout score. We sincerely value your evaluation and comments about this student. Please know that this form will be kept completely confidential. At no time will the student ever see your ratings. Dear Parents,
If your daughter is selected to be a cheerleader, there are specific responsibilities and obligations that your daughter must assume in order to qualify and remain part of the squad. There will be a meeting before tryouts on Thursday, April 22^nd at 7pm in the Media Center for parents and interested cheerleaders. The rules sheet will be passed out at the meeting and we will have a question/answer session. After reading the rules sheet and fully understanding the rules and regulations which govern this program, please sign your name and have your child sign as well. This sheet is due by April 22^nd.
The approximate cost for each cheerleader is roughly $500-600, which includes summer camp, camp wear, and supplies for the upcoming season. You are only expected to pay $185. Summer camp and the rest MUST be fundraised. This is expected and mandatory for every football cheerleader.
Being a member of the North Fort Myers High School Cheerleading Squad is considered a privilege. Being a cheerleader at NHS has many rewards and is a valuable experience your child will remember for a lifetime. Additionally, your daughter will give pride and spirit to our school, students, and community through their participation!
