Research Methodology
The aim of this section is to explore the whole procedure and the steps that are taken in conducting the research. This research paper lies within the area of quantitative research to Illustrate the efficiency of bilingual and multilingual education system at school level of Pakistan ( especially in Sargodha as it is a case study in Sargodha). For instance, in this section, method of collecting data and the sample selection have been discussed.
By the term quantitative research means
Quantitative research is an inquiry into a social problem, explain phenomena by gathering numerical data that are analyzed using mathematically based methods e.g. in particular statistics”. (Aliaga and Gunderson, 2002)
All the data collected from different resources is now shown in the table for investigation. The purpose of this is to emphasis the methods and techniques in which data has been collected, formulated and evaluated to answer the questions made at the start of the research study.
Domain of Study
According to the economic survey of Pakistan ( Planning Commission ,2003 )there are 200,000 primary schools in Pakistan in which 88% are government schools and 12% are private schools and 600000 teachers are teaching and 25 million students are studying in these schools. It is impossible to touch all the schools and teachers to investigate the present study. Researchers has chosen only teachers of schools and the senior students of language in Sargodha for their research as the research was conducted during the winter vacations and students of schools were unable to be touched due to lack of communication resources therefore students of schools have not participated in this research . The area of this study is to investigate the “efficiency of bilingual and multilingual education system at the school level of Pakistan: a case study of public and private schools in Sargodha” from different teachers and senior language students in Sargodha. Researchers has contacted to different teachers of schools including public and private sector (those who have experience of 5 year in their field) and the students if undergraduate and graduate and on the basis of their experiences researchers made hypothesis and results. Researchers have also taken their recommendations that are discussed at the end of this paper.
