Material and Methods 
According to their main properties, deformed pressed steels are divided into medium heat-
resistant steels and high-strength, high-strength, high-strength and heat-resistant steels. 
Steels with moderate heat resistance and high strength contain relatively small amounts of 
carbide-forming elements (Sr, W, Mo) and are formed by large amounts of nickel and 
manganese alloys to increase hardness and strength. Such steels include the common
type 12CrNiM, which we obtained as die material in our work. The
die is usually cooled to a high temperature during machining. (Figure1).

As a result of stamping hardness ranges from 40 to 43 on the Rockwell scale. 4X4VMFS 
steel with tungsten (molybdenum) additives increases heat resistance up to 600 ° C due to high 
toughness. Suitable for high-speed stamping cutting tools with sharp temperature changes in 
steels. 4X4VMFS steels have high corrosion resistance. Today 4X4VMFS steels are widely used 
in the local industry. 
Steels 4X4VMFS (DI 22), along with steels 3X2V8F, 4X2V5MF, 4X5V2FS, are complex 
steels with a similar composition and change type during heat treatment of high-speed steels 
(R6M5, R18, etc.), but are pre-eutectoid with M23S6 and carbides M6C. Such steels are 
hardened at high temperatures (1025-1125°C) to increase their heat resistance. Heating in the

temperature range of 500-580 ° C leads to the release of highly dispersed carbides. The curing 
temperature is raised to 600-650 °C to increase the viscosity. (Figure 2).

As a result of heat treatment of the die, a troostite structure is formed with a hardness of 
45-50 HRC. 
The lack of dynamic impact when working with CMP allows the use of factory-made dies, 
which have significant advantages over forged dies, which simplifies the production of 
replaceable tools and creates conditions for saving valuable tool steels. The dies consist of dies 
with handles drilled into them and holders on which blocks or nozzles are attached. (Figure 3).
