development of the national
education system of Uzbekistan until 2030", as well as a "road map" for the current year.

By 2030, Uzbekistan intends to enter the top 30 countries of the world according to
the rating of the International Programme on Assessment of Educational Achievements
of PISA students. For this purpose, the republic will conduct a cardinal reform of
educational sphere. №UP-5538 "On additional measures

The use of new technologies in foreign language learning could significantly
change the existing situation, and the Internet could
become not only a means of
communication and creating a real language environment, but also an additional means of
developing truly communicative skills and abilities of students and their motivation to
learn. №UP-5538 "On additional measures to improve the management system of public

In
modern Uzbekistan, foreign languages (especially English) are taught in the
continuous system of education, since the first grade primary
school and including
doctorate degree with the use of software products and computer technology.
It should be noted that, as part of the implementation of the Act "On education" a
comprehensive system of foreign language teaching has been created in the country with
the aim of creating a harmoniously developed, highly educated and modern thinking
younger generation and further integrating the Republic into the international community.

At
the same time, an analysis of the current system for organizing the study of
foreign languages shows that the educational standards, curricula and textbooks do not
fully meet modern requirements, especially in terms of using advanced information and
media technologies. Teaching is conducted mainly by traditional methods. Further
improvement is required in the organization of continuous learning of foreign languages
at all levels of the education system, as well as work on improving the qualifications of
teachers and providing them with modern teaching and methodological materials.
In order to cardinally improve the system of teaching
foreign languages to the
younger generation and to train specialists fluent in them by introducing advanced
teaching methods using modern pedagogical and information and communication
technologies, and on this basis create conditions and opportunities for their wide access
to the achievements of world civilization and world information resources, and develop
international cooperation and communication:
The actuality of the problem may be proved by Paul Nation’s metaphor that the
“words are bricks of the language”. Realizing the basic aim of teaching foreign languages
- developing communicative competence is impossible without wide range of vocabulary.
Problems of developing lexical competence are under
special attention of modern
Methodists and linguists (С. Smolina, Y. Passov, С. Shatilov, З. Solomko, I. Chepyakova,
I. Batsenko's. Innovating teaching vocabulary by using online resources have been tried
by such scientist and Methodists as A. Saveliev, Yu Voglaid, B. More, I. Pearlaki, E.
Rogers, SL Rubinstein and A. Leontief.
