The digital age has changed the conditions of life, building and education. Everything
around it is changing, including learning. The content of education in a modern general
education school remains one-sided, state standards based on an objective approach have
become obsolete. Many teachers point to the lack of a competent approach focused on the
individuality of the student. Studying at school does not give pupils a clear positive motivation
to choose their life path, interests and prospects. Every student has the right to choose his or her
own path which will give him or her the opportunity to develop over himself or herself and over
the chosen activity. Now, in the 21st century, the role of international modern education is
growing. Raise your own culture, the process of learning with modern methods and
technologies is developing and moving forward - now it is a vital necessity of our century and
the young state. Show yourself on the best side and be useful to the state. The same necessity
is to study foreign languages in order to move forward with time. Today, knowledge of English
opens up great opportunities with its wide flow of information and innovations. Everyone has
a chance to gain knowledge of a foreign language with innovative teaching methods.
The approach to teaching and learning methodology must be comprehensive, presenting
all options in an explicit and transparent manner and avoiding propaganda or dogmatism. One
of the fundamental methodological principles of the Council of Europe is that the methods to
be used in language learning, teaching and research are considered the most effective in
achieving goals agreed upon in the light of the needs of individual learners in their social
context. Efficiency depends on the motivation and characteristics of the learners as well as on
73
the nature of the human and material resources that can be used. Consequently, innovation and
modern teaching methods are just as important and must of course evolve over time.
One of the most useful and important task is to develop lexical competence with the help
of digital technologies, to update knowledge, to improve skills and abilities of a modern student.
In modern society there is a growing need for professionally literate teachers who can teach
various innovative and interesting methods of teaching a foreign language. The professional
competence of a teacher is primarily related to his ability to competently solve professional
problems and tasks arising in the process of teaching. In today's world, in order to be
professionally competent, a teacher must constantly learn does not just function in society, but
also invests himself in his values as a pupil. A teacher in the educational system is a self-
developing person who, through constant work on himself, improves his professional skills and
personal qualities. Pupils can choose which methods they want to learn a foreign language
using.
Currently, a variety of tools and platforms are available in the socio-cultural learning
space for learning, testing and supervision in the format of an English language lesson and
online after-hours. Such tools can be a way to introduce new topics and vocabulary, to send out
learning materials and videos in English, to create exercises and tests. With the help of many
materials you can choose the right one for you and learn foreign languages. Web resources can
be used as a means of controlling and motivating students.
One of the important methods of solving educational problems in foreign language
learning is the problem of learning vocabulary. Learning a vocabulary is a specific process, as
some expressions and words are better memorized, while others require modern teaching
methods, special exercises that are aimed at improving the process of memorization.
Students' practice of mastering new words is implemented with the help of exercises
aimed at forming a lexical skill and improving it. All exercises with its structure can be divided
into two categories: exercises focused on memorizing words, their semantics in unity with the
phonetic and grammatical form, which leads to the selection of words from long-term memory,
and exercises aimed at strengthening the systematic and paradigmatic links of lexical units.
74
Lexical skills ensure the inclusion of the word in productive and receptive speech
activity, which provides high combinability of lexical material, expressed in the automatic use
of lexical material to confirm your own thoughts, as well as in understanding thoughts,
expressed by other actors in the communication instrument. Thus, in today's society, there is a
need for... competency-based approach, which is not specific to the adoption of a ready-made
knowledge, and that the conditions of origin of this knowledge must be traced, which makes it
possible to prepare a person for a life of constant life of variability and development.
As the word (its form and meaning) is absorbed through situational kinship and the need
to express thoughts and feelings, the initial preparation for the use of new vocabulary after
presentation is carried out in conditional verbal exercises (exercises on imitation, substitution,
transformation, reproduction), performed under conditions of special interaction.
Learning in the simulator allows students to create sensations through the auditory and
visual image of the word, which is associated with speech motor skills, which provides
memorization of formal features of speech. No less important, according to V.M. Filatov, is the
awareness of the importance and purpose of words in their unity, and the association of the
word (auditory image) with the purpose and destination. The Wildcard exercises help to
strengthen these connections and to develop the associative action of word vocations.
In conclusion part of this article it is possible to underline that a lexical approach to
learning means that the focus is on helping students master their vocabulary. Modern teaching
methods enable students to learn new words as quickly and efficiently as possible. In this case,
a special approach by the teacher is needed. The teacher should make his lesson so that the
student is interested in learning modern languages and performs these tasks. In teaching
English, methods are systems of lesson structuring, while approaches are less focused on how
the lesson is structured and more focused on the general orientation.
