Activity Bank

Throughout this course you will see many different activities that can be used to teach English. Keep a record of these activities in this Activity Bank, so that you will have many good ideas ready to use when you begin teaching. One is provided for you, to get you started.

Story time. Students practice phrasal verbs by telling a story. The first student repeats the sentence and continues the story by adding a sentence containing a phrasal verb	Pre-intermediate	Good for teaching phrasal verbs and past tense
Find your partner. One card has a sentence containing an idiomatic expression and the other card has a sentence containing the meaning. Each student finds his or her partner. Challenges. Matching activity. Students state a challenge that they or  someone else is facing. Other students  suggest a solution. Places in a City. Jigsaw Reading. Reading and remembering main idea and specific detail information from their own paragraph raises learner awareness of logical organization (from general to specific) that they will need to use in their own writing.
