Khiva hospital

By the beginning of the XX century in the city a number of public buildings, including a hospital, built in 1912 on the banks of the canal Ak-jap after the son of Russian Emperor Nicholas II, the Tsarevich Alexei were built. On the portal of the building the the following is written: - "As a gift to the son of the great Emperor Nicholas II, Prince Alex from the Khan of Khiva Isfandiar Bahadur, 1912." The inscription, performed on majolica, in the old Uzbek language in Arabic script and the Old Slavic style, is set in a cartouche top of Hospital building on windows located between the two towers patterned front portal. In 1913, the front of the hospital was built, telegraph and mail communication was installed Khiva with other cities and regions of Central Asia. Palace Kubla-Tazabag

Each Khiva Khan during his reign tried to build a winter or summer palace, which would not have equals in the world. One of the most famous among the palaces and castles of Khiva is the palace of Kubla-Tazabag, built in 1893 by Mohammed Rahimhan II (Feruz). The palace is characterized by its spaciousness, architectural style, peculiar to the variety of Khiva aivans, unique construction techniques. Around the palace housed summer and winter mosques, schools, stables, a mill. The palace was completely surrounded by a garden. Group of master-artists and restorers ornamentalists headed by Kuranbay Matkarimov, Khiva senior master Batyr aka Baltaev in 1990 carried out restoration work in the palace.
