An emergency wedding

On November 28, 1582, at Temple Grafton, near Stratford, 18-year-old Shakespeare married 26-year-old Anne Hathaway. The girl's two neighbors, Folk Sendels and John Richardson, assured that there was no legal impediment to the marriage. Apparently, preparations were made for the wedding, and their eldest daughter, Susanna, was born on May 26, 1583, six months after the wedding. The twins, son Hamnet and daughter Judith, were baptized on February 2, 1585. Hamnet died in 1596, Susanna in 1649, and Judith in 1662.

Shakespeare left no historical trace, except for the birth of his twins and his recollection of his work on the London theater stage, except when he sued for his mother's property. The seven years between 1585 and 1592 can be called Shakespeare's lost years, for at that time there is no information as to where he was or why he left Stratford.
As a married man
Shakespeare had no right to study at university. In addition, he was not officially admitted to the Guild of Serious Actors. However, there were some companies that were considered «student institutions» whose strict requirements were an opportunity for Shakespeare
By this time the Shakespeare family already wanted to get the legal status and coat of arms of gentlemen. William's father, John, like his wife, was entitled to a hereditary coat of arms. He could have appealed to the Herald Chamber, but his deteriorating financial situation prevented him from doing so. The petition was filed in 1596 at the instigation of William, whose work was flourishing. The phrase «not illegal» was added to the coat of arms, but it was not used in the images at the time. In 1596, he moved to Bisholgate in St. Helena, and in 1598, Ben Johnson's play «Every Man in His Humor» topped the list of actors. Johnson's play Sejanus: His Fall was also included in the cast. From that year on, Shakespeare's name began to appear in the publication of his works.
