Since  copper  concentrate  applied  to  production  contains  over  2.5%  of  lead,  the  metal  is 
concentrated  in  various  by-products  generated  during  the  smelting  process.  Lead-rich  by-
products  are  the  base  materials  for  the  process  aiming  at  lead  recovery.  Process  relies  on 
reductive  smelting  in  reverberatory-rotary  Dörschel  furnace.  Finally,  lead  is  separated  from 
slags and further subjected to refining, where raw lead is obtained (Figure 3.6).
