What is a corpus?
A collection or body of texts in electronic form. The plural is corpora. A corpus is assembled by collecting texts in electronic form. The texts are usually chosen to represent different genres (letters, newspaper articles, fiction, conversations etc.).
A corpus may contain texts in a single language (monolingual corpus) or text data in multiple languages (multilingual corpus).
