The functions of science:

  Learns new facts (how plants grow, why rain falls, etc.);

  Solves problems (asks questions, collects information, finds answer);

  Invents new things.

  Observes using senses

  Describes and tells about the features of the object being observed ( color, shape, size, and texture )

  Compares their similarities or differences

  Classifies or groups objects according to their common characteristics or properties

  Measures using some measuring tools such as thermometer= used to measure temperature( measured in units called degrees); ruler, meterstick or a tape measure to measure length ( express in units called meter); weighing scale , platform balance or spring balance to measure the mass of an objects ( gram and kilogram are used to measure the mass)
