And grain quality of intensive triticum durum wheat varieties in irrigated lands

 

Materials and methods.

The field experiments on the experimental structure 

were 4-fold, with a calculated size of 50 m2 for each plot, which were arranged in 

two steps. In experiments, wheat cultivation was carried out on the basis of agro-

technologies  adopted  for  the  region  and  methodological  manuals  "Methods  of 

conducting field experiments." 

In order to determine the degree of frost resistance of durum wheat grasses in 

the third decade of each month (December, January, February) in all variants of 1 

and 3 repetitions of experiments with a 25 cm monolithic soil at a depth of 20 cm 

without  damaging  the  accumulation  joint  and  root  system  plant  samples  were 

mined. 

The extracted samples were brought to the laboratory, covered with wet bags 

and  stored  at  5-6  °  C  for  4-5  days.  Once  the  frozen  layer  in  the  samples  had 

thawed, the top was opened and placed in a light room with a temperature of 15–20 

°  C  and  kept  in  this  condition  for  18–20  days.  The  plant  bushes  in  the  samples 

were then cleaned of soil, the roots washed, the color of the leaf of the wheat grass, 

the number of dead plants, and the number of dead and non-dead stems in the bush 

were determined. 

To determine the yield structure of durum wheat in the experiment, 100 plant 

specimens were taken from each set and repeated (0.5 m

) seedlings and collected 

under  laboratory  conditions:  plant  height,  total  and  productive  stems  and  number 

of  stalks  per  1  m

2

,  spike  length,  number  of  grains  in  spikes  and  cobs,  mass  of 

grains in one spike and 1000 grains, grain and grain yield per 1 m2 of grain, degree 

of  grain  contamination,  vitreousness  and  nature  were  determined  in  accordance 

with GOST-9353-84, yield standard (14%) humidity.
