Vurgun is right Derbent is a sad city.
From stones grav-haired sorrow pours.
The dome of heaven has been unzipped to pieces,
The soul has thickened in inflow of feelings.
The magals as the gray-haired old men
Are thoughtful at Narin-Kala walls,
The wearinesses of centuries is visible even, in them.
And Lorkus’s grief, and Korogli’s secret.
The poet is right. Derbent is a sad city.
The waves of the sea cast sorrow
Only such a Derbent is very dear to me,
I learn to be patient from him.
The internal sight of the poet deepening the picture of ancient city. Life covers in a uniform sight something that has instantly flown and for ever embodied in a soul. The poem is penetrated by existential grief. Here органична and "the weariness of Narin-Kala", and “the grief of Korkud ", and " the gray-haired old men magals and even that from " of stones gray-haired the sorrow pours are organic here". The words "grief and ' sorrow” define the, semantics of the literary production. The real time contains the mythological in itself.
The given text is a figurative interpretation of the mood of the 1yrical hero of Orudg. The other production is the poem "My Derbent”. It is sustained in a different intonational key. It is an original оge to historical greatness and importance of the city, in which:

It is impossible to name the given text an art translation, as well as a word-for-word translation, therefore me take into account only substantial elements of it. The interpreter obviously avoided the use of artly relevant connotations of words of the Azerbaijan language and tried to be equivalent to express them in Russian.
Nevertheless, he managed to combine romantic and realistic beginnings of a verse. The lyrical hero of Tagir Salech is full of lofty feelings reproduced by means of the native city pictures of a nature. Especially east manner,the recognized realities of a traditional east verse: " of the Girl the evebrowes as an arrow " are pulled. " heart release of heavy fetters ", " beautiful, yellow, petals of colours, w hen bathe in waves of blue ". The Romantic-symbolical Paradigm of verses of Salech is brightly shown and in his other texts. Within the framework of our theme the poem "Narin-Kala".
Here the history of Derbent and (its) main citadel are closely bound. In verses reconstructing the historical past of Derbent (its) mythology the rich stock of the historical background information set in the various structural - semantic and style forms is incorporated. Т. Salech actively uses tins information, and each time in a new emotional context. Creating the verses about favorite cit, he rather starts with mood, or a certain idea building a figurative (line). At times his texts seen to be weaved out of lyrical, enthusiastic emotional experiences, and in such poem as "Narin-Kala" the romantic heat, of his images the traditional elements of dastan Old Turkish poetry.
In a poem " Derbent " his hero correlates himself to the singers; heroics - whose poetry differs by the realness combined with the traditional verses, reflecting the trends of east poetry with its reserve, heroic-religious implication the floridness of epithets (increased) metaphorical nature.
In poetry of Т.Salech, unfortunately, inaccessible tor the present to Russian reader, the influence of the experience, of the great Azerbaijan poets of the last centuries Fizuli, Bottoms, Vaxid, and also Samed Vurgun, Vagab-Zade, Nabi Chazri, appreciable Rza Vefali etc is.
Partly perceiving these or those approaches, in partly making a start from them, he develops traditions of the Dagestan-Azerbaijan poetry.
As it was already marked, the Derbent poets demonstrate various types of mutual relations of the modern man with culture and tradition. These and the recognizable features of modernity as well as the, and isolation of the author in "the legend-mythological-historic reality and the disagreement with the standard mentality and reproduction. Their texts sometimes mutually make a start, and sometimes converge in a uniform point of transcendental irreality . Message of these texts is to acquaint, to remind the reader of the greatness and historical importance the century – old city.
