The relevance
of this work is due to the following factors: 
1) great demand for simultaneous translation at international events 
of large and small scale; 
2) the spread of simultaneous translation in many countries of the 
world and localities, regardless of their political and economic 
significance and size; 
3) the growing pace of globalization around the world; 
4) the rapid development of technologies used in the field of 
simultaneous translation, which imposes on the interpreter the task of 
quickly mastering any equipment; 
5) the growth of requirements for simultaneous interpreters due to 
the expansion of the ST market - a variety of translation specializations, 
knowledge of several foreign languages, the ability to work in different 
modes and conditions. 
The scientific novelty of 
the research
is determined by the 
following: 
1) systematization of the latest information about simultaneous 
translation, including types of ST, its techniques and strategies; 
2) review of the latest equipment for the joint venture;

3) description of the aspect of the psychophysiological load during 
the SP, which until recently was considered mainly from the generally 
accepted point of view. 
The theoretical significance
of the presented study is determined 
by its contribution to translation studies, namely, the replenishment of 
information about the time constraints of the work of simultaneous 
interpreters, as well as the impact of ST techniques and strategies on the 
quality of translation. 
The practical value
of this scientific research lies in the fact that it 
can serve to create theoretical and practical courses of simultaneous 
translation, as well as a course of teaching simultaneous translation in 
higher educational institutions, based on the proposed classification of ST 
techniques and strategies, on new data on psychophysiological loads, and 
consequently, on the regulation of the time of work of one simultaneous 
interpreter. 
The work is structured as follows: introduction, three chapters, 
conclusion and bibliography. Each chapter consists of sections arranged 
in accordance with the logic of the study.
