Karshi branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies was established on July 23, 2005 in Karshi as a regional branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies in accordance with Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 2, 2005 № PP-91 "On improving the training system in the field of information technology", order of Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 14, 2005 № 130 "On approval of the model regulations on branches of higher Education Institutions " as well as implementing the submission of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information dated July 21, 2005, 07-8/2015. The Karshi branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies has been operating since September 1, 2008. There are 4 computer rooms equipped with 82 modern computers and 92 computers connected to the local network in the branch. 364 students study at the Karshi branch. In the 2008/2009 academic year, 471 students studied in four majors. The number of graduates is 191. In the 2008/2009 academic year, 63 professors and teachers of 4 departments: candidate of physical and mathematical sciences E. Alikulov, head of the department, candidate of philosophical sciences T. Kurbanov, senior teachers N. Irkaeva, B. Elmuradova, assistants N. Jumaev, G. Khudoyorov and others taught students. Karshi branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies prepares bachelors in the following areas:
• Computer engineering ("Computer engineering", "IT-service", "Multimedia technologies");
• Software engineering;
• Information security;
• Telecommunication technologies ("Telecommunications", "Broadcasting", "Mobile Systems")
• Vocational education (information and multimedia technologies)
Alumni activities
From 2008 to 2009 academic years, 191 students : 177 bachelors and 14 masters graduated from Karshi branch. They are working in our country in the fields of information and communication technologies, national education, higher education institutions, professional colleges, banking and finance.
