5.0 Conclusion

KFC China and Philippine has evolved over the years to in some ways resemble China and Philippine themselves: It is substantial, expanding, self-assured, and eager for diversity and novel encounters. Most importantly, it is fluid is potential of rapid expansion, much like China and Philippine’s economy. The company's in-house approach and the early freedom PepsiCo granted Su and his leadership team have contributed significantly to its success. If there is one major lesson to be learned from KFC's experience in China, it is that a global company must determine if it wishes to establish a lengthy foothold or quickly increase sales while entering a developing country.
