1. Prоtamines. The simplest of proteins is the alkaline protein. These proteins contain a high content of arginine and lysine (up to 80%) and have a strong alkaline property. Protamines are soluble in water, do not germinate when heated, but are absorbed by other proteins.
2. Histоnes. It is soluble in water but does not dissolve in diluted ammonia. A solution of other proteins precipitates the histones. The sediments that occur when heated are dissolved in dilute acids. Histones have a weak alkaline nature and are very different from other proteins. This property indicates that the histones are excessive in the content of diaminomonocarbon amino acids. Their isoelectric points also correspond to the alkaline environment.
