Regression analysis
Regression analysis involves statistical procedures and methods that are applied for the estimation of relationship present among the dependent and independent variables. This analysis is being applied to assess the impacts of the independent variables and dependent variables of the study (Ozili & Arun, 2020; Samadi et al., 2021).

Yi represents the dependent variables, f represents the function, Xi represents the independent variable, β represents the unknown parameter or the coefficient value, whereas, ei represents the error term. The equations for proposed studies are as follows:
For the dependent variable Economic net deficit in the United Kingdom.

The equation two and three above establish a relationship among the dependent and independent variables, along with the coefficient values, the functions and the error term.
Data analysis techniques and tools
As the data is going to be time series, for the analysis autoregressive distributed lag model will be applied, which is based on ordinary least squares approach, it is applied so that dynamic error correction model can be derived from this approach with the help of simple linear transformation (Stuart, Spencer, McLachlan, & Forde, 2021). The descriptive statistics will be derived which will represent the summarization of the data in the form of mean and median values, summary of the standard deviation and skewness in the data. This will be applied to check the normality of data. Furthermore, correlation analysis will be done, in order to understand the level of co dependence that is present between different pairs of the variables (Uddin, Chowdhury, Anderson, & Chaudhuri, 2021). Furthermore, heteroskedasticity will be analyzed as well, which involves variance of the residual term or the error term. For the purpose of analysis, the applied tools will be Microsoft excel and EViews.
