CONFIRMATION CLASS EXPECTATIONS 2012-2013

1. 
   Attendance at all class sessions is expected. Attendance assumes participation and the completion of any assignments. Meeting every Sunday morning as a group allows for anyone who misses a session to be exposed to that material or theme in a subsequent class.
   

2. 
   Attendance at Sunday morning worship is expected. If we are preparing to join the church we should be expected to attend the church’s services. (If you stay overnight at a friend’s house, consider worshiping at your friend’s church. We can all learn from other worship experiences, and would welcome your sharing about your worship experience at another church.)
   

3. 
   Meet regularly with an adult mentor: All confirmation participants will meet with his or her mentor for 10 sessions, using the book provided.
   

4. 
   Parents present in a confirmation class, a field trip, and a mission project:
   

Parents are helpful and needed to participate in confirmation classes, field trips and service projects.

5. 
   No cell phones are permitted during confirmation class. All phones must be turned off, not silenced.
   

6. 
   Class Behavior: Demonstration of appropriate behavior, treating others with Christian love and respect, and refusing to tolerate harassment or bullying is expected of all.
   

7. 
   Attendance the scheduled retreat.

   Attendance in a Christian development group. Options include:
