1)   Call to Order

2)   Welcome and Introductions

Present:  Joey Tokhi, Tammi Ansbach, Angelica Encarnacion, Cathy Kardos, Rachelle Bakke, LouAnn Smith, Sherry May

4)   Setting Norms for Site Council

Norms:

5)   Review/edit/modify SHES Site Council vision, mission, values, and bylaws

Added the vision statement to the bylaws and adopted the bylaws

6)   Review budget from the end of the 2015 – 2016 school year. Go over existing budget current as of August, 2016

Tammi reviewed the budget and all members had a copy of the budget for review

7)   District Strategic Plan, Sunset Hills Elementary Continuous Improvement Plan-Goal Setting 2016-2017, AdvancED Accreditation 2016-2017

Joey presented the District Strategic Plan review that our district is engaging in this current school year.  Joey presented the CIP goals A-C to the council.  Joey reviewed the AdvancED Accreditation process and what this means for Sunset Hills and our school district.

8)   Review/approve/deny any applications for tax credit money

Review application from:

-Steve Wallgren:  Calendar of events needed for the year and question on the student fee of $5.00  then site council will review again

-Beth Maloney:  Calendar of events needed for the year and then site council will review again

-Keri Blunier:  Calendar of events needed for the year and then site council will review again

-Randy Badsgard was approved for Sunset Hills Chorus, Bobcat Singers, and School Musical, from 8/17/16-5/24/17, for a total of 150 hours for $3300, to compensate the club sponsor for time spent at rehearsals, concerns, and any additional function which requires the club sponsor to serve in the capacity of director for chorus, Bobcat Singers, and the school musical.
